Rebuild from adjusting the extracted makefile. The menu allows the following tasks to be done. You can also point navicat or your favorite mysql database editor to either of those two hosts or the docker ip address and make database changes that are only permanent as long as you are running the container. If you were using git with your site you can push these changes and then aegir will pull them on the next build. You can now edit the files in the extracted directory and the changes will appear on your site. You can see your site with the database at a certain point in time.It shows up under these four addresses it also works on https! Why the heck do I care and what can I do with this crap? So… before we discuss this menu, let’s check our site out! in this case: (in this example I also added status.local as a domain as well. We are going to add one and by default it will add your site. We are also offered to set up some hosts for our computer to see the site from. By default it will bind local ports to the container allowing anyone on the machine’s network to view your site by going to your ip address as it explains. We are then offered a port binding option. The database lives inside of the container but the files are still local and are passed in at the time of running the container.Īt this point we probably want to start our container and see our site so we press 1… This container has the database and files as they were at time of backup. What have we done so far? Well in 39 seconds we have set up and ready to “start” as a container. Now we run the start-docker script with sudo. Grab your from central and drop it in the cloned directory it should look something like this Let’s just dive in and clone the docker new-backup branch git clone -b new-backup If for some reason you don’t want to reformat your windows or mac for development you can follow this guide on setting that up. Follow the instructions on my first blog post about how to get docker set up
